Films I like/saw

In this list, I will probably add films that I haven't watched yet, and others I've seen but do not really agree with about the vision given of Marie Antoinette. For example, let's take Marie Antoinette of Sophia Coppola. I concede; that's one sweet and pretty film, with many magnificent colours, amazing costums and  a touch of modernism I'm quite fond of, but all of this isn't enough to erase the few annoying elements in it (maybe a post about it will be made).

Watch out: there may be some spoilers in my list. (The list isn't complete, of course, I may add little by little).

Films/series about/with Marie Antoinette:

La Révolution Française, 1989, with actress Jane Seymour in the role of the French Queen. It focuses though on the late years of her life, from the beginning of the revolution to her execution.

Marie Antoinette, 2006, of Sophie Coppola. Kirsten Dunst plays the French queen.

Versailles no Bara, 1980. Famous Japanese anime by Riyoko Ikeda. Though the series (both manga and anime) focuses a lot on Oscar de Jarjayes, the plot definitely revolves around Marie Antoinette and Axel von Fersen.

Lady Oscar, Jacques Demy. It's an adaptation of Riyoko Ikeda's manga. However, the film focuses on Oscar and André.

Les Adieux à la Reine, 2012, with Diane Kruger, Virginie Ledoyen, Léa Seydoux...

Film/series about others:

Spartacus, from Steven DeKnight. Both Andy Whitfield and Liam Mcintyre play Spartacus.

The Tudors (2007-2010) (Michael Hirst) with Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Natalie Dormer, Annabelle Wallis, Henry Cavill etc..

Vikings (2013-) (Michael Hirst) With Travis Fimmel, Katheryn Winnick, Clive Standen etc..
